The Somerville COVID Hardship Fund

This fund has been set up in response to the current Covid-19 pandemic whether regarding work, lack of income related to Covid-19, ill-health due to the virus etc and, as such, is limited to being able to help CHD patients affected by the pandemic.

We do our best to assess each application on individual merits and aim to be fair and transparent in allocating these grants to ensure we help as many people as possible who are facing financial hardship. Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications we receive and our limited funds, we are not able to approve all applications.

Please do not spend money in advance with the expectation that you will receive a grant until you have received our decision! Note: we have a policy of not making grants to cover expenditure which has already taken place.

Applications are only accepted in the case of proven financial hardship. We therefore ask for a small number of financial and benefit documents (if applicable) to help us to reach an appropriate decision.
