Our private Facebook group has been an important space to connect for many years and we’re excited to announce this is moving to a new Facebook group.

What’s changing?
We have created a new private Facebook group exclusively for ACHD patients. Owned and managed by Somerville Heart Foundation (SHF), access to this new Somerville ACHD Patient Group 1 will remain private and limited to approved members (of SHF) who have ACHD.
Whether you were part of the old Facebook group or not, please take this opportunity to connect with other ACHD patients by joining the new group!
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
If you are an ACHD patient and SHF Member:
- Click here to join the Somerville ACHD Patient Group 1 and answer the questions when prompted
- To find your membership number, log in to the Members Area on our website, scroll down and click ‘View My Membership Number‘
- Please remove yourself from the old group
- For your security, we recommend you update your Facebook password and enable two-factor authentication
If you are an ACHD patient but NOT an SHF Member:
- When your SHF membership has been approved please follow the steps above to join the Somerville ACHD Patient Group 1
If you are an SHF Heart Families Member (a friend or family member of someone with ACHD):

Can I join the new group if I wasn’t on the old one?
Yes – if you are an ACHD patient and SHF member you can request to join the new Facebook group
What’s happening to the old Facebook group?
We will no longer post there and it will close soon. Posts in other groups with similar names will not be official.
What If I’m not a Somerville Heart Foundation Member?
Please click here to sign up as a Somerville Heart Foundation member – you’ll need your membership number when you apply to join the Somerville ACHD Patient Group 1 patient Facebook group
What if I’m not an ACHD patient?
SHF members who are friends and family of someone with ACHD can join our Heart Families Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/tsfheartfamilies
Is my Somerville Heart Foundation membership linked to being a member of the Facebook Group?
No, your SHF membership is not impacted in any way by this new Facebook Group. However, you must be an SHF member to join the Facebook Group so if you have not signed up since our new membership began in 2021 please do so here: https://sfhearts.org.uk/sign-up/
