Hearts Together Speakers – Debbie McParlin and Lorna Carruthers
Debbie and Lorna will be speaking at our Hearts Together 2023 event in Newcastle on 13th May.
Debbie is a Fontan Nurse specialist, in post since 2019 – the first UK post of its type. She is dual trained in Adults and Paediatrics and spent the first 20 years of her career in Paediatric ITU’s, prior to moving into a role as PH Nurse specialist.
Subsequently Debbie has worked in the ACHD team, and as cardiothoracic tx coordinator.
Lorna is the lead nurse for the adult congenital service based at the Freeman hospital. She works alongside Debbie to support adults and their families throughout their congenital heart disease journey.
