February Footsteps – join the challenge!

February Footsteps ’24 raised a fantastic £2,421 – huge thanks to everyone who took part.

So, what is February Footsteps?

The February Footsteps event began in the lockdown of 2021, with walkers encouraged by our Wellbeing Counsellor Richard Bird to get out in the fresh air and meet the challenge of walking 1 million steps during Heart Month. As a group the walkers smashed that target and raised an amazing £2,500 for the charity. February Footsteps has become an annual event and a feel-good fundraiser in the SHF calendar.

Do I have to raise money to take part?

Yes! We need you to collect donations and sponsorships to step out throughout February. We are reliant on fundraisers such as this to help us continue to provide services, fund events and reach out to those who need our support. You can collect money per mile you walk, per step or as a whole donation to Somerville Heart Foundation.

Please tell your friends, family & colleagues about the walking challenge & of course get them to dig deep for those born with a heart condition.

Remember, this charity is free to access but not free to run – donations ensure ACHD support for years to come.
