England

Changes to the travel red list and recognised proof of vaccination list from 4am on 11 October

47 countries and territories were removed from the red list. 37 new countries and territories have been added to the list of countries with recognised proof of full vaccination for travel to England.

New rules for international travel 

The traffic light system for travel no longer applies. Instead, there is a single red list and the rest of the world. If you’re travelling to the UK from a non-red list country or territory and are eligible under fully vaccinated rules, you only need to take a test on day 2 after you arrive.

First dose vaccinations for young people 

All young people aged 12 to 15 will soon be offered a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Vaccine certification required for late night venues and large events 

From 1 October, you will need to show proof that you’re fully vaccinated using either the NHS Scotland COVID Status app, a paper copy of your vaccination record, or proof that you’re exempt, to enter late night venues and large events. Find out more on GOV.SCOT.

NHS COVID Pass required for nightclubs and large events 

From 11 October, you’ll need to show proof that you are fully vaccinated or have a recent negative rapid lateral flow test using NHS COVID Pass to attend nightclubs and large events. Find out more on GOV.WALES.
