2021 Christmas Survival Guide
How this year has flown. 😲 It seems like just yesterday we were getting ready for the festive season, and here it is again. 🎄 We know that this time can be overwhelming, we hope these tips will help you through. ❤️
Get Active
Whether it’s having a daily walk, run or bike ride, take some time out to get active and get some fresh air. If you are interested in participating in our running and bike events next year, get in touch with us at admin@thesf.org.uk

Check-in on Someone
We all get by with a little help from our friends. A call to say hello and ensuring they are OK, have sufficient supply of food, warm clothes, or even medication whilst the shops are closed, are small gestures that can mean a lot over the festive season.
Share your Story
Everyone has a heart story. By sharing yours, you are contributing to the ACHD community and helping inspire someone. Email us at admin@thesf.org.uk.
Setup a Facebook Birthday Fundraiser
If you’re celebrating your birthday over the festive season and new year, why not donate your birthday to our cause? Setup a facebook birthday fundraiser here.
Take Care of You
Self-care is something we all need, no matter the season. Being mindful takes practice, even on a good day. Read our post on ways into relaxation.
Read a Book
Mike Owen, born with two congenital heart defects, confronted the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness in his own way. He found physical, emotional, and mental stability thanks to his diagnosis, and this is his uplifting story. Get your copy of Keep Stepping on Amazon Smile here.
*Royalties made from sales are donated to Heartbeat North West Cardiac Care and The Somerville Foundation
